M.O.N.D.A.Y.S

What a day it has been, had the worst start to a morning but I made it to class with the help of my ever so loved coffee. On the way home I picked up a new bangle to go with my big white or what I like to call "gangster watch"! I thought it would be an awesome idea if I could play around with the style and mix tomboy with lady like inspired accessories. In my opinion I think it worked.

What do you think?

Bangles & Bracelets

A must have is of course the good old bangle and bracelet. These have been around for a long time because I still remember them as I was growing up. The really awesome thing about bangles is that you can wear it for all different types of occasions and for women of all ages. You can wear it to a wedding, school formal, day out shopping or to a nightclub. However it all depends with the actual colour. Some are thick, think, bright, metallic, and dark and the list goes on.

Wearing a bracelet or bangle with a dress will always work and look great but the colours have got to match, for example brown and red would probably not be the best choice. The unusual concept with this piece of jewellery is with the less amount, gives you a more formal look and the more gives you a casual look. So an important tip, if you are going to a formal event, wedding or a formal or even dining out at some fancy restaurant, tone it down to maybe just one or two pieces! If you’re going on a shopping spree feel free to spice up your arm with heaps of bangles and bracelets. After all “arm candy” is so in at the moment.

Pyramids

Have a look here

Wow, came across these wonderful sets of pyramid look alike necklaces and found them to be so stylish and chic. Not to mention I’ve seen heaps of these on celebrities like Sienna Miller and Kate Moss, one of the best style icons in my opinion. The use of colours associated in each piece is so fresh and well put together by whoever had designed them. To be honest, the shape of the pyramid is so easy to use because they come in so many symmetric forms and sizes that they can be worn for a casual day out, whether at school or a coffee catch up with a friend.

I have also taken notice that there are so many extra and finer details embellished into these wonderful pyramid necklaces, from the chains to the outer and inner colour. With this particular style it sure enhances a little bit of a bohemian “boho” look, so it would look absolutely fabulous with a cute headscarf, warm coloured or loose clothing and a fringe bag.

Fringe Necklaces

Now I know we’ve seen it a lot, fringe tops, jackets, bags and even bikini tops, but how many times have you seen fringe necklaces?
Although there have been a few out there but it’s not considered to be a huge trend when it should be. The “fringe” concept gives such a bold statement and absolutely eye catching. Although I would like to style it up with a simple strapless top or a dress, but if you’re a little more daring then go all out with your choice. However keep in mind that the focus is on the necklace and to always bring that out in your look, for either the day or night.

Ring Ring Ring

Amazing rings here
Recently one of my favourite jewellery stores had a massive sale, and the first section I went to was the “ring section”. There I saw so much that I loved and I ended up spending my uni money on it. Woopsie. A wise man once said “a ring is like a halo on your finger” and this is so true. We all have that piece of jewellery that we love and always have to wear and that becomes kind of like our persona and completes our outfit. For myself, like many of you girls, I’m sure are obsessed with rings!

Once again growing up I only focused my attention on big, bright diamond rings because they were so pretty and they still are. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and will always be. Wearing diamonds on your fingers definitely takes the clothes you’re wearing to a whole another level, bringing elegance and sophistication to your wardrobe with just a simple touch. That is why when I was a little girl I used to love seeing how older women would wear them because it gave me really big influences. Today I own so much silver diamond rings just because they are so simple but they tell enough and saves me so much time wondering how to style it up with other accessories.

Although today as I look around a lot of young girls around my age are slightly shifting their choice of rings. Going towards a funkier, rocky and bold style and that has definitely caught my eye and has become of my new fashion love. With so many different designs on such a small accessory is so fascinating and you can still manage to style it up with other jewellery of your choice and it still looks hot. Now in my jewellery box there’s diamonds and funky rings, total opposites but hey opposites attract right?

Tutorial on studded nails

Bedazzled Nails

This is such a new and emerging trend that is happening today. Whoever would have thought to bedazzle their nails? I certainly didn’t until I ran into a friend of mine, who showed of her nails full of cute little studs on them. It was so unique and different that I had to write a post about this. The studs look so hard-core and rocky and the best thing is they come in different colours and styles. How cool is that?

Take a look at these to give you some ideas on how to style up your nails next time you get your mani done.
